St. Paul's is blessed with a dedicated and faithful staff. Some of the parish staff you see on Sunday mornings. Some you speak to on the phone. All of them see their work as a ministry of service to the parish and to the larger community.

Douglas holds music degrees in Organ Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University where he studied with Donald Sutherland. His additional concentrations of expertise include piano, harpsichord, conducting, and liturgy. In addition to his work at St. Paul’s, Douglas also manages the Royal School of Church Music Summer Course for Advanced Trebles in residence at St. Albans School. He serves as chapel organist at Virginia Theological Seminary and as a church music consultant to congregations and associations. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is the Director of Christian Education for Children and Youth at St. Paul's.Bill oversees the Sunday School, weeSIT, Shrine Mont, and youth education and formation. Prior to coming to St. Paul's, Bill interned for two years at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA and is also a classically trained chef. Beyond St.Paul's, Bill serves the Diocese of Virginia on the Committee on Race and Reconciliation and the Youth Commission. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Christian Education at VTS. Edison High School in Alexandria, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Following college, Kim served two tours in Iraq for the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Captain. Currently Kim is working towards her Masters in Health Care Administration. She is a faithful member of the 7:45 a.m. congregation at St. Paul's. She served as Interim Parish Administrator before taking on the role of Director of Stewardship. Originally from Oklahoma, Laura Beth came to St. Paul's after working with children in home, after school care, and summer camp settings. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Sociology in 2008 andis currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Christian Education at VTS. Lesley Markham is a Christian Educator at St. Paul's and works on the staff of the After School Care Program. A graduate of the BSc (Hons) Human Environmental Science program at King's College, University of London, Lesley served as Director of Christian Education at Trinity Episcopal Church in Hartford, Connecticut before moving with her family to Alexandria. Lesley and her family enjoy their dedicated service to St. Paul's (son Luke is a faithful and excellent acolyte and husband Ian is a frequent preacher, celebrant, and much enjoyed speaker at our Adult Forums). Dorothy Pearson is the Administrator of the Lazarus Ministry, St. Paul’s community emergency assistance program. Dorothy holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia. Ben Badgett is a seminarian at St. Paul's. Prior to beginning his studies at the Virginia Theological Seminary in 2009, Ben worked as a youth and young adult minister, an outdoor environmental educator,and a Peace Corps volunteer. Ben is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a double major in Religious Studies and Outdoor Recreation Management.Ben's wife Kendall Badgett also has worked with youth and young adults in the church and plans to attend VTS this fall alongside Ben.


Missy Greene is a summer seminarian at St. Paul’s.Missy is currently pursuing a Masters of Theological Studies with a focus in Christian Education and Youth Ministry at Virginia Theological Seminary.Missy graduated in 2007 from Penn State University with a degree in Elementary Education and then spent two years working with pre-kindergarten classes before attending seminary. Coming from then Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania, Missy has been active in diocesan events, serving various roles over the years.
