Shrine Mont

St. Paul's Parish Weekend at Shrine Mont

Would you like to put down your phone and pick up your soul? Then please join St. Paul's parishioners at Shrine Mont as we share time together "for rest, devotion and fellowship where we may all grow in the grace of God." Shrine Mont has been a place of respite since it was first built in 1850 as the Orkney Springs Hotel. It is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places and has, since 1920, served as the conference center of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. It is one of God's great gifts to us.

For many St. Paul's parishioners our time at Shrine Mont is a weekend not to be missed. Not to be missed because you're in a lovely mountainside setting away from life's daily pressures. Not to be missed because Morning Prayer by the lake and evening worship at the Shrine are some of life's little pleasures. And mostly not to be missed because you can take any or all of it as you choose and at your own pace.

We have Morning Prayer by the lake, Compline by the fire, and a candlelit evening service at the Shrine. We have porches to ponder on. We have trails to run, a cross to hike to, and massages to heal your aching muscles. We have soccer, tennis, or croquet.  We have babysitting for the babies, activities for the kids, and a guest speaker for the adults. We have ice cream by the bonfire and happy hour on the verandah. It's a chance to remember yourself, your family, and your God. Won't you please join us?

Registration forms are available on the Bricks after Sunday services or by clicking the link below. If you have questions or if you'd like to help make the weekend even better, please contact Talley and Chris Fulghum (Ph: 703.768.8232 or e-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
