Lazarus Ministry

The mission of the St. Paul’s Lazarus Ministry is to provide emergency financial assistance, food bags, and counseling to residents in the City of Alexandria. We serve the working poor, homeless, disabled, and those who are experiencing unexpected hardship. We treat clients with dignity and respect, maintaining an attitude of kindness and support while we provide comfort to those in mental or physical pain.

While we are unable to gather together at St. Paul's, the Lazarus Ministry continues to provide emergency financial assistance to residents of Alexandria who are experiencing economic hardship. Your support of the Lazarus Ministry is vital to our ongoing outreach to those in need in our community, especially during COVID-19.

“Lazarus Ministry is an open door to Christ. When trying to do something good for someone else you do something good for yourself; sometimes you may not realize that goodness at the time. That goodness is the graceful blessing of the Holy Spirit.” – Arthur Miller, Sr., Lazarus volunteer and former client
